- Temperament/character: This is the most important aspect in the selection of our dogs.
All our dogs undergo a temperament and character test and must pass.
- We will only breed with dogs that have a hip score of 2 and less. Dogs with a hip score of 1 and 2 will be mated very carefully to ensure progress.
- Healthy elbows are important and, to us careful selection and mating will be considered in our breeding programme.
- Hyperplasia: No dogs will be used in our breeding programme that shows any sign of Hyperplasia or Prolapse.
- Milk: It is important that our females have enough and good quality milk to rear their pups by themselves without any intervention.
- Movement: Our dogs must have powerful, buoyant and unencumbered movement, not withstanding its size.
- Angulation: We will concentrate on breeding dogs with good angulation to help the dog have a fluent movement.
- Colour: Colour is not important to us. We feel there are more important points to concentrate on at this time.
